Disassembly report: Lenovo Yoga 65W charger standard 100W data cable
As the charging interface of notebook computer is gradually unified to usb-c, most light notebook computers choose to support 65W medium power, and the market demand for 65W PD fast charging charger rises significantly. Lenovo launched a yoga 65W USB PD fast charging charger, which is composed of 65W charger and 100W CC fast charging data line. We have disassembled the charger before. Today, I'd like to share the disassembly of the data cable with you to see how the data cable is made.
1、 Appearance of Lenovo Yoga 100W data line

The data cable is bundled with a white magic strap. The cable body is wound many times with a length of 1.5m. The white skin of the cable body is made of TPE material, with good workmanship and smooth surface without burr.
The data cable head is packaged with a white hard plastic shell. The bright surface of the shell is treated with baking paint, which is very smooth. Both ends are treated with bending resistance.
Using the chargerlab power-z km001c detection, it shows that the cable has e-marker chip, power transmission capacity is 20V / 5A, data transmission capacity is USB 2.0.
2、 Disassembly of Lenovo Yoga 100W data line
Remove the plastic shell of the thread end and the internal sealing glue, and weld 12 pins at the joint of the male end and the PCB board, which is full of pin design. In addition, there is an e-marker chip.

The wire core on the other side of the board is firmly welded, and the solder joint is full.
Take another look at the cross section of the wire, it's easy to see the wire diameter of seven cores. Two of the red positive wires are thickened, and the negative wire is bare.
The inside of the white skin is a shielding net, which has the function of shielding and stabilizing the braided net layer. The skin is closely combined with the metal braided net, and the imprint extruded by the metal braided net can be seen at the bottom of the skin.
There is also a layer of shielding aluminum foil inside the shielding net to enhance the shielding effect.
Tear the aluminum foil and wrap it with 7 cores.
A close-up of the negative power core is composed of tinned copper core like the other six cores.
The other six cores are also equipped with fiber stay wires to enhance the tensile properties of the whole cable.

Lenovo yoga's 100W data cable with 65W charger is used as the charging set of mobile phone, tablet and notebook chargers. The line length is 1.5m, which can easily cope with various use scenarios, and the surface of the line is smooth without burr. After the actual test of charging head network, it shows that the cable has e-marker chip, power transmission capacity is 20V / 5A, data transmission capacity is USB 2.0.
Through the disassembly of the charging head network, it is found that the hard sealing glue is used under the plastic shell of the data cable plug to protect the PCB board, the male head is full pin design, and the wire core solder joint is round and full. The core is composed of tinned copper wire with tensile fiber, which is durable and not easy to damage.
