At the annual Defcon hacking conference, the security researcher called mg demonstrated and demonstrated his iPhone lightning data cable, which contains additional malicious components, including malicious hardware and malware payload, and can launch wireless attacks when the victim inserts the data cable into the computer.

Mg said that this data line looks like a legal product, which can connect computers and IOS devices normally, and even the connected computers will not notice the difference. But the attacker can control the data line wirelessly and then control the victim's computer. Mg types the IP address of the malicious data line in his own mobile browser, displays a list of options, and can remotely open a terminal on a connected Mac. From here, hackers can run various tools on the victim's computer.

This kind of malicious lightning data line carries various payloads, and the attacker can run scripts and commands on the victim's machine. Hackers can also remotely "kill" the implants in the malicious lightning data line to hide or destroy the attack evidence. MG is currently selling these malicious lightning cables for $200.

Mg said that the effective wireless attack distance reaches 300 feet. If necessary, hackers can use stronger antennas to further extend the attack distance. If the wireless network has Internet connection, the attack distance is basically unlimited. Now mg wants to mass produce this data line as a legitimate security tool. Mg said the cables would be built from scratch, rather than refitting Apple's lightning cables.
