The real name of "Huawei charger" is actually "USB type-C". It is a new type of USB interface (USB interface also includes type-A and type-B), which integrates charging, display, data transmission and other functions. Of course, for most people, its biggest feature is that it supports double-sided insertion, which solves the "worldwide" problem of "USB can never be inserted". Of course, at present, he has brought another problem to many people - is the mobile phone charged or plugged in the headset... (many mobile phones have cancelled the 3.5mm universal headset jack)

The five main features of type-C make it a flexible and extensible interface.

 

  1. Power supply

 

The default 5V power supply of type-C interface is backward compatible with the previous USB interface. Moreover, the type-C interface contains four pins dedicated to power supply and grounding respectively“ USB power delivery specification enables the type-C interface to support up to 20V voltage and 5A current, which lays the foundation for the fast charging of many mobile phones (such as 18W, 20W, and even some 65W).

  1. Symmetrical connection

The interface of type-C is symmetric, so it can be "plugged in both positive and negative". The liberation of the direction of plug solves the main trouble brought by the interface before. The type of the previous interface indicates the function of the auxiliary equipment (type-A interface is used for the host, Type-B interface is used for the external equipment). The type-C interface can be accessed to either end of the two terminals, and the function is defined by the accessed hardware. Type-C supports USB 2.0, usb3.1 GEN1 and USB 3.1gen2 data transfer rates. USB2.0 and usb2.1 are defined by separate specifications. The superspeed USB differential signal pair is distributed on both sides of the interface, so when the interface is inserted in any direction, a set of superspeed USB signal transmission connections will be used.

The type-C interface contains two channel configuration signal pins (CC1 & CC2) for function negotiation. The above signals determine the insertion direction of the interface and are used to negotiate the power supply function, alternative mode and peripheral mode on the interface.

The type-C interface supports a variety of OEM product customization modes to expand the device functions. The redistribution of signals is achieved by negotiation on the CC channel. The interface can enter two modes, peripheral mode and alternative mode.
