Disassembly report: vid 18W PD fast charging charger

Recently, the charging head network got a live 18W PD fast charging charger. The design can be said to be very unique. The 360 words on the fuselage shell made Xiaobian mistake it for a domestic 360 charger. However, careful comparison found that the logo difference is still very big. So how does this charger actually work? Take it apart and have a look.


1、 Appearance of video 18W charger

The charger adopts trapezoidal shape design with narrow top and wide bottom. The body shell of the input end is gray, and the other part is white. The body shell is printed with 360 words. The overall design is very characteristic.
The charger input is equipped with foldable American Standard pin.

Compared with apple 20W charger, it's bigger. The intuitive feeling of charger in hand. The net weight is about 64g. Using chargerlab power-z kt002, the usb-c port supports apple 2.4a, Samsung 5v2a, DCP protocol and pd3.0 fast charging protocol.

In addition, the PDO message shows that the C port also has three groups of fixed voltage gears: 5v3a, 9v2a and 12v1.5a.
2、 Disassembly of video 18W charger
The shell of the input end is disassembled, the wires, inductors and transformers are glued, and the insulation is reinforced.
At the front of PCB board, the transformer and the input and output filter capacitors are glued and reinforced, and the output USB bus base is covered with plastic shell.
There are rectifier bridge, main control chip, optocoupler and synchronous rectifier chip on the back of PCB board. The division of primary stage is obvious, the scheme is highly integrated, and the circuit is very simple.
From right to left, the input components are fuse, common mode inductor, two high voltage filter electrolytic capacitors, I-inductor and power supply capacitor of main control chip.

The charger adopts trapezoidal shape design and is equipped with LED indicator light. The design is very unique, but it only supports pd3.0 fast charging protocol, which is slightly monotonous. The charger adopts the highly integrated 18W fast charging scheme of daiyo ap39303 + apr34709, and the protocol chip adopts gengyuan cy2332. With the whole set of scheme provided by Yanji, the charger integration is greatly improved, thus simplifying the whole system cost and further improving the product competitiveness. This scheme can also meet the output power of 20 to 22.5w, and can also support PPS function.
