Application materials and process of Japanese PSE certification for vehicle charger

Vehicle charger refers to the vehicle charger which is powered by vehicle battery (car 12V, truck 24V). It is widely used in the field of lithium battery charging of various portable and handheld devices.

For example: mobile phone, PDA, GPS, etc.; vehicle charger should consider not only the actual demand of lithium battery charging (constant voltage CV, constant current CC, over voltage protection OVP), but also the harsh environment of vehicle battery (transient peak voltage, system switching noise interference, EMI) Therefore, the power management IC of vehicle charging scheme must meet the requirements of high voltage, high efficiency, high reliability and low frequency (conducive to EMI design).
Why do car chargers need PSE test report
1. PSE certification is a compulsory safety certification in Japan, which is used to prove that motor and electronic products have passed the safety standard test of the Japanese electrical and raw material safety law (Denan law) or international IEC standards.
2. According to the Japanese dentorl law, the products entering the Japanese market must pass the safety certification.
Data preparation for PSE test report of vehicle charger:
1. Application information: business license, application form;
2. Test preparation information:
1) CB report (including Japanese difference test);
2) Layout plan;
3) PCB design drawings related to safety regulations;
4) Specifications of transformer and coil parts;
5) List of key components and their certificates;
6) Japanese manual or assembly manual;
7) Japanese nameplates and warning signs (including PSE identification and the name of the supplier notified); and;
8) Structure data sheet;
9) List of production and calibration certificates used in factory production.
3. Test samples: at least two main test models and one derived model.
Process flow of PSE test report for vehicle charger:
1. Application
1) Fill in the application form
2) Application company information form
3) Provide product information and send samples
2. Offer. According to the data provided, the Engineer determines the test standard, test time and corresponding cost
3. Payment. After confirming the quotation, the applicant shall sign the application form and service agreement and make payment
4. Testing. According to the relevant testing standards, the Laboratory conducts a full set of tests on the applied products
5. Test passed, report completed
6. The project is completed and the certificate is issued.
